Privacy Policy

Effective Date: May 23, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how Yomi (accessible at yomiyomi.co) collects, uses, and safeguards information in connection with your use of the Service. By accessing or using Yomi, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you have questions, please contact us at [email protected].

1. Information We Collect

We collect only the information necessary to provide and improve the Service:

  • Account Information: When you register, we collect your email address and, optionally, your name. This information is used to manage your account and communicate with you about the Service.
  • Billing Information: Payment processing is handled entirely by our third-party payment processor. Yomi does not store your full payment card details. We receive only transaction confirmation and subscription status data.
  • Usage Data: We collect anonymized data about how you interact with the Service (e.g., features used, session duration) to improve platform performance and user experience.
  • User-Uploaded Images: Images you upload for processing are used exclusively to perform the requested OCR, in-painting, and translation operations. We do not access, review, or use your uploaded images for any other purpose.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

  • To create and manage your Yomi account and subscription.
  • To provide, operate, and improve the image-processing Service.
  • To process payments and manage billing through our payment processor.
  • To send transactional communications (e.g., invoices, password resets, service updates).
  • To comply with applicable legal obligations.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

3. Image Asset Processing and Zero-Retention Policy

Yomi operates strictly as an automated image-processing utility.

  • No Manual Content Review: We do not manually access, view, or monitor the images you upload. All processing is automated and performed solely to deliver the requested output.
  • Limited Retention: Uploaded image assets are retained only for the duration of your active project workspace. You may delete your project files at any time. We do not use your uploaded images to train machine learning models.
  • User Ownership: You retain full ownership of and responsibility for all images and output files processed through the Service. Yomi claims no intellectual property rights over your content.

4. Data Sharing and Third Parties

We share your information only with trusted third-party service providers as necessary to operate the Service (e.g., cloud infrastructure providers, payment processors, analytics services). These providers are contractually obligated to process your data only as directed by Yomi and in accordance with applicable data protection law.

Yomi's Privacy Policy does not govern the practices of third-party services. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party providers before use.

5. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to maintain session state, remember user preferences, and analyze site usage. You may disable cookies through your browser settings; however, some features of the Service may not function correctly without them.

We may use third-party analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) that collect anonymized data about site interactions. This data is aggregated and not linked to your identity.

6. Your Data Protection Rights (GDPR)

If you are a resident of the European Economic Area (EEA) or another jurisdiction with applicable data protection laws, you have the following rights regarding your personal information:

  • The right to access and receive a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • The right to correct inaccurate or incomplete personal data.
  • The right to request deletion of your personal data, subject to legal retention obligations.
  • The right to restrict or object to the processing of your personal data.
  • The right to data portability — to receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
  • The right to withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days of receipt.

7. Data Retention

We retain your account registration data (email, subscription history) for as long as your account remains active and for a reasonable period thereafter as required by applicable law or legitimate business purposes.

You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting [email protected].

8. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or under the age of 16 in the EEA). We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately and we will take steps to remove such information.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy on this page with a revised effective date. Your continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
